Octoburst at Esplanade 2010

Dear YY n NN n DD n xDD
This is our 2nd year going for the Octoburst shows at Esplanade.
This year, however, YY, you were not really that keen to go.  Your thoughts were full of your coming SAs and you actually told us you would rather stay at home to study....
Of course, we had to drag you along with us.

To save time, Mummy booked 2 shows of the same timing.
YY, Papa brought you for the Xi Gua Show.
NN, DD n xDD, Mummy's 2nd attempt into the Recital Studio with the 3 of you for another Playtime Show.

SYNOPSIS

I guess I’m just a scaredy cat …
Of most things I am afraid.
Shadows, whispers, even a rat
Will make me pale as slate.

It's even scary in my room
so I’ve got to have a light.
I think that scary creatures loom
under my bed at night!

Rayan is scared of EVERYTHING! When will he ever be brave?
Perhaps all he has to do… is look under his bed…. Come and find out why!

NN, DD n xDD
The 3 of you enjoyed this show very much.  Quite interactive towards the end when you kids were encouraged to stand up and dance / shake to the music, although none of you, NN n DD, did.
Mummy must be getting real good at handling you 3 all at once during showtime.  It was not hard at all!
xDD, you actually sat on your own, with your eyes glued to the stage while Mummy held one of your hand.
DD, upon seeing xDD sit by himself, you immediately planted yourself onto my laps.  Haha.
Overall an interesting show for you 3 and Mummy looks forward to bringing you 3 for more of such Playtime Shows.

SYNOPSIS

In the tranquil village of KaiXin lives Xi Gua, the village heroine, town protector and local maverick.
High up in the nearby mountains lives a fearsome man-eating monster, capable of swallowing humans in a single mouthful. He’s as hungry as can be and knows just where to find his next meal.

Xi Gua, or Watermelon Girl as she’s more affectionately known, discovers the monster’s evil plot and is determined to save her village from the beast.

Will Watermelon Girl succeed? Find out in this action-packed adventure story.

Dear YY
Papa brought you in for this show.  But but but... you had nothing to tell us after the show.  Must be still pre-occupied with your exams...
