NN, you balanced very well on the grasspatch this time, but you still have a phobia of going onto the pavement.
The coach told us to let you practise balancing before the next lesson.
YY, you were able to achieve the lesson milestones. Well done, my boy.

Babysitter

Dear xDD
PaPa and Mummy are sending you to a bbsitter during weekdays when Mummy goes back to work next Monday.
It was not the first time one of you was taken care of by a daytime bbsitter. Your korkor Ryan also went to bbsitter during his first 2 years. But when Mummy brought you over to Aunty's place and left you there for the day yesterday, Mummy felt sad. Really didn't think that Mummy would feel this way again. Actually there was already a feeling of separation anxiety when Mummy was buying your necessities to bring over to her place earlier during the week.
Mummy delayed departing from Aunty's place yesterday. Your eyes were fixed on Mummy all the time during Mummy's conversation with her. Perhaps you were trying to grasp what was happening?
When Mummy picked you up in the evening, you were asleep in the rocker. Glad that you managed to sleep in unfamilar place. Hope that you would get used to this new change soon, and hope Aunty will take good care and dote on you.

p/s: everytime towards the end of Mummy's maternity leave, this feeling of contradication would always surface. To stay at home or not to stay at home. :(

My 4 Darlings

Dear YY, NN, DD and xDD
The 4 darlings of our big family of 6.
Really can't believe that our family has grown so fast, both in age and in size.

All 4 of you require different types of attention right now.

YY, NN n DD, you 3 fight alot nowadays. Usually it's 2 v.s 1, and the lone 1 is always reduced to tears during such times. How to make you 3 fight less? Hmm....

xDD, right now you are only demanding basic needs and TLC from Mummy. Can't imagine when you grow bigger. Would it be 3 v.s. 1 then, or an even fight among you 4?

But of course you have loving times too. During those times, it is really a joy to watch you.

The Hardworking 3.
Usually it starts off with YY doing homework/assessment books, NN follow suit, and DD wants to draw too! Can be real chaotic when all 3 ask questions or request that Mummy help you with your work all at the same time!
And we will need to bring in one more chair for xDD in another 2 years time....

Blading Class - 1st Lesson

Dear YY n NN
YY, at your request, Mummy enrolled you and NN for roller blading lessons during the Mar holidays. It was a one instructor to 2 kids class.
The first thing you were taught was how to fall properly without hurting yourselves.
Then you were trained to keep your balance on grass patch. All these were taught through play and games.
YY, you were quite daring and fast enough to achieve the lesson milestones.
NN, surprisingly, you were quite "babyish" this time and refused to do your best. The instructor had to coax you into standing up by yourself and balancing on blades. You also refused to move an inch once you were up on your feet with blades. It was only towards the end of the lesson that you forgot you were on blades and started to chase after the instructor during gametime.
Hope you 2 have fun and are able to master blading after the end of 4 lessons.

Dear YY, NN and DD
Disney On Ice Show was in town. Mummy bought Cat 2 tickets with very good view, intending to bring you 3 for the 5pm show on a Saturday....
Imagine Mummy's shock when the usher stopped us from entering the almost deserted entrance... He pointed out that the show actually started at 3.30pm!!! And the current show was going to finish soon!!!
Gosh! Mummy had mistaken the show to be at 5pm! Good thing the Sistic counter staff was willing to issue us replacement tickets for another time slot at no cost, esle it would have been $200++ down the drain!
You 3 were quite disappointed to miss this show. Sorry, guys!
The next day, we trooped down to Kallang Indoor Stadium again.
YY and NN, you 2 enjoyed the show very much, as well as the popcorn PaPa bought you during interval.
NN, you even requested to sit in the front row so that you could hi-5 mickey mouse and friends for future Disney On Ice shows. ER....
DD, you missed the first 30mins as you were asleep. Mummy woke you up after much effort. Your eyes were wide open throughout the whole show afterthat, though you frowned and said you were scared when the wicked queen came out...
Glad you 3 liked the show very much!

Photo Session By Foto U - David

Dear YY, NN, DD and xDD
We had our first photo session as a family of 6.
We did it at our "not-so-new-anymore" house.
Photographer is Uncle David from FotoU, who has done our family of 5 two years back in his studio.
We have quite a good surrounding downstairs and xDD is too young to be photographed any further than the outdoor downstairs.
We started with photoshots in our house first.
YY, you had quite a number of solo shoots while waiting for Papa to fetch NN and DD from school.
DD, you were pretty unco-operative at the beginning. You refused to smile and even threw tantrums during the session. Your smile and laughter only surfaced when we went downstairs, and it began raining. You forgot the presence of Uncle David and his camera, and began singing in the rain, with an umbrella in hand.
NN, you joined DD's in the rain fun too.
xDD, of course, you lay naked and in whatever positions we subjected you too, without a whim. :)
Overall a very fun session although towards the end, YY, you began to get impatient. Uncle David had to whip out his latest gadget, his Iphone, to entice you. :)

It was only later that nite when Uncle David emailed the photos to Mummy, then Mummy realised that DD and YY had lots of solo shots. NN's seemed abit too little. Made Mummy tempted to go for another round... :)
Maybe sometime during NN's 4th birthday...

Baby Raylen's Full Month Party

Dear xDD
6th March 2010 (11.30am to 2.30pm)
This was the date of your full month party.
We celebrated it in the function room downstairs.
You were blissfully in slumberland throughout this whole affair in which you were the star of the show. You remained nonchalant to all the well wishers, curious eyes, joyful screamings and happenings around you these full 3 hours... Good thing also that no well-wishers attempt to pinch your adorable cheeks.
Mummy is looking forward to having you grow up fast and run around with your 3 elder brothers and sister, and their friends.
Thank you also, all the Aunties and Uncles, for all the well wishes and gifts.

Art Class

Dear NN
You started your first art lesson with Teacher Maria on 3rd March 2010. Zavier Teo is also in your art class. In fact it was Aunty Mich who asked Mummy whether you would be interested to join in this new art class. The theme this month was The Underwater World. You painted Nemo fish for the 1st lesson. It was great to see both you and Zavier having fun in this class.

Newborn PhotoShoot by StudioLoft

Mummy finally sucuumbed to the temptations of those nice newborn photoshoots posted on SMH forum. It was a first for the family too. Newborn photo session.
Mummy engaged StudioLoft for this session.
The ideal timing for newborn shoot is between 5 to 8 days old, when infants sleep alot. At 18 days old, you were actually abit too old for newborn shoot. It was quite difficult getting you to sleep at first, hence alot of the shoots captured you with your eyes wild open. It was really an irony that just a week ago, Mummy and Papa had been very worried about your lack of interest in opening your eyes. Your eyes had remained shut most of the time then.
After almost half an hour of feeding, coaxing and latching, you finally fell blissfully asleep. Blissfully long enough for the 2 lady photographers to snap more photos of you.
