We're Going On A Bear Hunt

We're Going On A Bear Hunt
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared.

Uh-uh! Grass!
Long wavy grass.
We can't go over it.
We can't go under it.
Oh no!
We've got to go through it!

swishy swashy!
swishy swashy!
swishy swashy!

We're going on a bear hunt.
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared.

Uh-uh! A river!
A deep cold river.
We can't go over it.
We can't go under it.
Oh no!
We've got to go through it!

splash! splosh!
splash! splosh!
splash! splosh!

We're going on a bear hunt.
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared.

Uh-uh! Mud!
Thick oozy mud.
We can't go over it.
We can't go under it.
Oh no!
We've got to go through it!

Squelch! Squerch!
Squelch! Squerch!
Squelch! Squerch!

We're going on a bear hunt.
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared.

Uh-uh! A forest!
A big dark forest.
We can't go over it.
We can't go under it.
Oh no!
We've got to go through it!

stumble trip!
stumble trip!
stumble trip!

We're going on a bear hunt.
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared.

Uh-uh! A snowstorm!
A swirling whirling snowstorm.
We can't go over it.
We can't go under it.
Oh no!
We've got to go through it!

Hoooo woooo!
Hoooo woooo!
Hoooo woooo!

We're going on a bear hunt.
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared.

Uh-uh! A cave!
A narrow gloomy cave.
We can't go over it.
We can't go under it.
Oh no!
We've got to go through it!

Tiptoe!
Tiptoe!
Tiptoe!
WHAT'S THAT?

One shiny wet nose!
Two big furry ears!
Two big goggly eyes!
IT'S A BEAR!!!!

Quick! Back through the cave! Tiptoe! Tiptoe! Tiptoe!
Back through the snowstorm! Hoooo woooo! Hoooo woooo!
Back through the forest! Strumble trip! Strumble trip!
Back through the mud! Squelch squerch! Squelch squerch!
Back through the river! Splash splosh! Splash splosh!
Back through the grass! Swishy swashy! Swishy swashy!

Get to our front door.
Open the door.
Up the stairs.

Oh-no!
We forgot to shut the door.
Back downstairs.

Shut the door.
Back upstairs.
Into the bedroom.

Into bed.
Under the covers.

We're not going on a bear hunt again.

When was the last time you saw a rainbow?

Dear YY n NN n DD
When was the last time we saw a rainbow?
Or when was the last time we stop in our tracks, tilt our heads towards the sky and spot a rainbow?
Mummy spotted a complete and very beautiful rainbow while waiting for Papa at Kovan today. Everyone standing nearby was taking out hp/camera to snap the beautiful sight. It was such a wonderful feeling and it brought a smile to everyone's face. Often, we, adults, are too busy with our daily routine to appreciate the simple beauty of nature.
Hence, my 3 innocent darlings, if Papa and Mummy get too busy at times, please remind us to look up towards the sky. We would need you to tell us what the clouds up there look like.

Loving all 3 of you
Mummy

Kite Flying Day!

Dear YY, NN and DD
We had a kite flying day on post v-day this year, organised by Punggol CC. Papa helped out at the event and Er-Shu and Mummy brought you 3 along for some fun. It was scorching hot but you had great fun nevertheless.

Love One Another

Dear YY n NN n DD
At times, Papa and Mummy will hear your occasional squabbles.
"Mummy, Didi snatched my things" goes NN.....
"Papa, Meimei pushed me" YY, you will complain....

Sometimes these minor squabbles turn into major tantrums and outbursts which always end in a teary session at the naughty corner. And more often than not, YY and NN, after each fight, you will forgive and hug each other and become best of friends again. Until the next quarrel comes along....

DD, you can be very sweet at times too.
Especially when you hear either KorKor or JieJie crying, you will rush to hug and pat them.

Love and cherish one another.
Now and when you grow up.

CNY - our little CM gathering

Dear NN
Your CM classmates, Zavier, Ashley and Phoebe, together with their Mummies, came over for a small gathering on the 14th day of cny. You kids had a great time playing with one another while the Mummies chit-chatted.
Who said girls are a timid lot? Look at how you 3 girls climbed up our metal gate. :P
And your Kor Kor Ryan also exhibited his thoughtfulness by tidying up after you little guys.
Mummy thought the cutest part was when all 4 of you started to "gan bei" and tossed one other when the Mummies asked you to drink water.

With Love

The Bleu Rangers

Dear YY, NN and DD
In case you are wondering the meaning of this entry's title, it is actually the name of your PaPa's now defunct soccer team. Mummy could only say that the focus in sports has generally shifted from soccer to golf, and this is applicable only for those team members (aka uncles) who are still exercising... For those who are too busy with work and family, at least the team still meet up once a year (min) for "Low Hey" during cny, minus away those gatherings at someone's bb's full month celebrations, or wedding dinners. Of course, at this stage of our lives, the former is more frequent.
This year, Papa invited the team for gathering at our place.
YY and NN, you had fun playing with the other little "rangers" who are as young as you.
DD, you were shy and uncomfy with so many pple at our house, on top of your bad flu. You cried alot, but Mummy am sure you will learn to be sociable like your KorKor and JieJie soon.

It was fun catching up with all the Uncles and Aunties.
Mummy is looking forward to the day when the old Rangers start teaching the little ones soccer. For a start, your Papa is already bringing you along for his "rare" soccer games.
