Friends of the Zoo!

Dear YY, NN and DD

We finally became Friends of the Zoo last Sunday!

It was such a hot day but I was sure you kids took no notice of the weather at all!
We had a great time there, but dear NN, papa and mummy wanna apologised to you for the little episode we had while feeding the kangaroos. Mummy was too engrossed with the limited photo memory space for our camera. So much so that we failed to notice when the kangaroos came too close to you, as you were holding their food. You started screaming and Mummy had to carry you away quickly. I hope you didn't develop a phobia of kangaroos as a result!

We also took a peek inside the hoarded construction site of the Children's World due to open next month. The merry go round inside looks fun! We shall take a ride on our next visit!

Our final stop was Water Play in front of the KFC. As usual, YY and NN, you two had a splashing funtime there. Even you, DD. You were crawling in the shallow pool of water with Papa protecting you.

With zoo membership now, we don't have to rush to visit all the animals at one go on our next visit anymore. Let's have a more leisurely walk around the zoo soon.

Panda Eyes

Dear DD

Nope, this title does not refer to you. It refers to Mummy. Eversince that freak accident on 30th Aug 08 (pls dun blame your NN jiejie!) and you couldn't suck your big thumb due to the even bigger bandage on your index finger, you have been seeking comfort in me. You don't want the pacifier either. Everynight, you have been waking up 6-7 times, crying out for some comfort from me. The sleep deprived me do the best i can, but I think you don't rest well too! Now Mummy is worried about what will happen when we are not in town early next month for a week. How will you fare with Grandma taking care of you at night? I hope you don't give her too much trouble and make her too exhausted!

Mummy has also just started you on formula milk. But you don't seem to enjoy it at all. You practically spit out the whole teat when we tried to feed you some. Guess you still need some time to get used to it.

Loving you, My youngest baby.

Mummy

The 911 kid

Dear YY

So sorry, Mummy is kinda late in updating details of your 5th birthday. Pls don't blame me, because you turn 5 even before this blog is born. In any case, i hope you had a wonderful time that day.
You wanted a Ben 10 cake, so Papa searched the internet for a nice pix for your sweet secrets blackforest photocake.
You had talked about going for ducktour and hippo bus ride for the longest time. We finally brought you on the ducktour that day. You really enjoyed the ride. And the tour guide was real nice to bring you to the front of the boat/bus?? and had everyone sing you a birthday song!

Most of our family and close frens liked to call you the 911 kid. Because you were born exactly one year after that fateful day in US. But of cos you are nothing of that nature. You are the sweetest boy we ever know. Co-incidentally, your lunar birthday also fell on 15th August (Lantern Festival). I remembered that day you were born, Papa and Grandma each bought a lantern for you and brought them to the hospital to welcome the tiny you.

It's Plant Day Today!

Dear YY, NN and DD

Today, we brought you to the Jacob Ballas Gardens. Mummy had wanted to bring you kids there for the longest time, but something esle always cropped up during the weekends. Very happy that we finally had a chance to go today. It was scorching hot when we reached there. Nevertheless, both you, YY and NN, had great fun, especially at the slides and waterplay. Only poor DD was fussing due to the humid weather, hunger and sleepiness combined together.
NN, you had so much fun that when it was time to leave, you started to throw a tantrum at the waterplay area. We understood that you couldn't bear to leave the place, but we also hoped that you would be more sensible in time to come.

At nite, after dinner at Grandma's place, Papa brought all of you downstairs to blow bubbles. You had so much fun chasing after the bubbles. Even you, DD. You were so excited to touch the bubbles. Papa was amused and commented "$1 can make them so happy". $1. The price of the bubbles bottle. Such a simple thing can make the three of you so happy. Your joyous laughter are still ringing in my ears. It really made Mummy reflected on myself. How many times have i tried to compensate for the lack of time spent with you 3 by buying lots of expensive toys for you to play with? Countless.

Mummy will be home early tomorrow nite for you.

With plentiful Hugs & Kisses,
Mummy

First Visits to the Movies

Dear YY

Time really flies.
It seemed only a while ago that you, YY, went to your first movie in the cinema, on 21 Dec 05, when you were slightly over 27mths old. I remembered your Papa brought you to watch Chicken Little at Tampines Mall then as Mummy was engaged eslewhere. Papa came back telling me that you only managed to stay in the cinema for half of the show before you fussed and he brought you out. Now you can truely enjoy all the shows and performances that we bring you for and can sit throughout without any problem.

Dear NN

Today, we brought your korkor and you for your first movie. Wall.E., also at Tampines Mall. You are 28mths old now and like your korkor, you fussed and wanna get out of the cinema halfway thru the movie, after you had lost interest in the popcorn and coke. It was a lucky thing that we were sitting at the 2nd last row (good thing also the last row was unoccupied!) cos you were walking up and down while your korkor and Papa were enjoying their show. Of cos, Mummy had to bribe you with M&Ms and biscuits to keep your volume down. Mummy really heaved a sigh of relief when the credits started rolling and the lights came on. :P
Mummy stuffed you with too much tidbits and you had no appetite when we went to PoPo's house for dinner. So sorry!

Hope in time to come, you will be able to appreciate shows and performances just like your KorKor now.

With Love,
Mummy
