2010 CNY

Dear YY, NN and DD
This year CNY was a slightly different CNY. We have a little addition to our family 1 week before CNY, and there was a change in the usual CNY routine, as Mummy was still in confinement period.

On CNY's eve, Papa brought the 3 of you over to PoPo's house for reunion dinner while Mummy stayed at home with xDD. It was steamboat dinner, and as usual, NN, you had lots of your favorite quail eggs while DD enjoyed his all-time favorite, fishballs..... YY, being bigger and able to appreciate food more, enjoyed most of everything.

1st Day of CNY
Papa brought the 3 of you first to Great Grandma's, then to PoPo's house.
PoPo had to work that night, so Er Shu and San Shu came over to our place and all 6 of you went downstairs to the pool.
Grandaunt and Granduncle also dropped by our place together with your 3 young aunties. We had a great time entertaining them.

2nd Day of CNY
It was pool fun for you 3 again as you had done your CNY visitings for the year. No malaysia trip this time due to Mummy's confinement.
YY, when Mummy first told you that our family would not be able to go to Malaysia for CNY this year, you had requested for Mummy to deliver xDD after CNY so that we could make the trip there. You look forward to the fireworks display every CNY. Grandma had already gone back to Malaysia a few days before CNY. She had offered to bring you with her, but of course Mummy had rejected her. Partly because Mummy thought you would be bored if you stay too long there, and partly because we should spend CNY together as a family. Nevermind, next year we would be able to make our usual trip there again.

Primary School Life....

Dear YY
You are into your 1st 6 weeks of Pri Sch.
So far so good.
You seemed to have adjusted quite well in school.
Of course, recess time is still very much the highlight of your pri sch life now, and you never fail to report to Mummy and Papa on what you spent your allowance, and how much you have saved every evening.
There are both spelling and Ting Xie every week and so far you have already taken 2 math tests in class. So far your results have been very encouraging, and for every full marks achieved, Papa will reward you with a game at the Animal Kaiser Game Machine at 7-11. This is something which you always look forward to during the weekends.
My dear boy, continue to be as hardworking as you are now, and Mummy and Papa foresee that your academic studies will not be our worry in future.

Hollywood Dino

Dear YY, NN and DD
Mummy got these discounted tickets a few months ago.
It was a good thing we decided to go for this exhibit on 30th Jan 2010, barely a week before RR was born.
We went with your PoPo, Er Shu and San Shu.
It was an hour's walk around the dino exhibits. Not really very exciting, nevertheless you 3 had fun digging for dino bones at the sand pit.

Sweet KorKor Ryan

Dear xDD
Your KorKor Ryan is very sweet.
He actually keeps a small notebook dedicated to you.
In this little journal, he writes about you every day.
Even though all are short entries, mostly comprising of just a sentence or two, Mummy thinks that this gesture is very sweet and thoughtful.
Papa and Mummy shall safekeep this little notebook for you to see in future.

BB Raylen Can't Wait!

Dear xDD

Yes, our dear no 4, Raylen (aka xiao Didi or xDD).
This is the first post dedicated to you.
08/02/2010 was your scheduled birthdate, but you decided to come out earlier on 05/02/2010.

It was a very rush affair this time round.
Mummy and Papa reached MT A at 6pm, and Mummy was wheeled into the OT at 6.30pm.
Dear RR, you came into this world at 6.45pm.
Papa mentioned that he was still nervous waiting outside the OT, despite having gone through this similar scenario 3x before. :)
Your features are alot like your KorKor Ryan, but you were born taller.

You met all your immediate family members, including Grandma, Yi Po, Po Po, Er Shu and San Shu, on this first night. All were very happy to see you, even your little elder brother Rhaines, who is now a KorKor. He started smiling the minute he saw you.

During our 3 night stay at the hospital, you were an impatient baby from the start during feeding times. Not really ready to suckle yet, you cried very loud when you were hungry. Other than that, you slept most of the time and seldom open your eyes. Something which worry Mummy more than Papa, as Papa remembered that you were similar to your KorKor Ryan in this aspect.

We did the routine for you (similar as all your 3 bros and sis) while in hospital.
Signed up the package for Peter Pan photo shot, and First Imprezzion for your footprints and handprints. The photographer from Peter Pan also commented that it was quite difficult trying to capture shots of you with both your eyes opened.

As usual, Papa stayed over for 2 nights with Mummy (Mummy had to stay in double room for 1st night, due to no availability of single room).

You had to undergo light treatment due to signs of jaundice on your 3rd day. We were relieved when your PD declared that you were ok enough to go back with Mummy on Mummy's discharge day.
