Ryan's Birthday Party

Dear YY
We celebrated your 6th yr old birthday differently this year.
This was the first time we held a party for you on your birthday and invited all your friends.
It was especially meaningful for you during your last year in preschool. Birthday celebrations in our family have always been private gatherings only among our close family members. Mummy thought that since you are all grown up now, inviting your friends to attend the party would make you very happy indeed.
Your party was held in the function room of our new dwelling place. We invited your preschool friends and teachers, as well as some old neighbours whose kids you have played with since young. Throughout the celebration, you were so happy and bursting with joy. A couple of times, you couldn't contain your excitement and whispered happily to Mummy that you received so many presents! The Ben-10 3D submarine cake was a hit and you had fun decorating it with some more Ben-10 figurines. Your friends all went back with goodie bags and self-made windmills which had kept them well entertained during the party.
It was a great party and thank you, all Uncles and Aunties, for the great presents you had given!

The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Dear YY n NN

It's another day off from CM.

This time, instead of letting the 2 of you stay cooped up at home, Mummy arranged to watch The Boy Who Cried Wolf with your little CM friends and their Mummies. Together with Zavier and Ashley, you had a great time cramping in the same car for the whole day, laughing and singing your little songs.
DD, you came along with us for the day since your main caretaker, Grandma, was not back from her annual overseas trip yet.

In the theatre, all 4 of you kids requested to sit together in a row.
The play started off quite well with The Big Bad Wolf hitting the catchy tune "did you see the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf"...
However as the play progressed, the 3 younger kids started to fidget. Ashley was scared of the Big Bad Wolf, Zavier started to look for his Mummy, and NN, you complained of hunger.
YY, as per other shows, you stayed settled and concentrated throughout the whole play, oblivious to all other happenings around you. :)
Well, there is no denying that this play is more suitable for your age.

After lunch, we headed off for Polliwogs at East Coast Park. This indoor play area is similar to Downtown East Kids' Explorer, but of a smaller scale. Nevertheless, you still had a wild time playing for 2 hours plus.
Even you, dd. At your young age, you were restricted mostly to the ball pond, but you still enjoyed it very much.
This place is very relaxing as the kids get to play while parents can chill out and relax at the refreshment area which is furnished adequately with seats and sofas.
We, Mummies, had to think of ways to get you kids out of the play area after 2 hrs plus. Of course, the easiest was offering Ice Cream as enticement. After much coaxing, we finally managed to get all the kids out and proceeded to the BK next door. Too bad BK don't serve Ice Cream anymore and we settled for some light refreshments instead.
Only you, yy, you remembered about the Ice Cream promised by Mummy earlier and asked why Mummy bluffed you. Oops, seems like a contradictory ending to the lesson taught earlier at the play.

After that, it was home sweet home for all.

Wonderful outing, thanks to the fun companionship of Zavier and Ashley together with Aunty Mich & Aunty Kar Hui.
